Emily Preston - Practice Manager

Hi I'm Emily, a part-time receptionist at Oakmead. After working in HR for many years I opted to take voluntary redundancy after the birth of my second child. I was eager for a change in career and one that fitted around my young family.

I pride myself on being a great multitasker – which is fundamental at Oakmead with our ever changing diary. I consider myself a hard worker and a strong team player and have been lucky to take on key responsibilities within the practice.

Away from work I am happily married with a son and a daughter, who keep me pretty busy! I absolutely love being a mum and so grateful that my job here at Oakmead gives me the perfect work life balance.

I thoroughly enjoy being part of such a fun loving and enthusiastic team. I really enjoy meeting and chatting to patients and I can honestly say I love my job!

As my children grow up I hope to increase my hours and my goal is to start training to become a Dental Nurse.
